SUMMARY:School Holiday - Kids 3 day Sailing Course
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 8th – Friday 10th April 2026 \n\n\n\n8.30am – 3.00pm \n\n\n\nat TVSC container\, near Fingal Boat Harbour and Launching Ramp\, Fingal\, NSW \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nFor All Children 9 -17 years. \n\n\n\nThe three day course will include: \n\n\n\n\nSafety\n\n\n\n\n\nBoat and Sail handling\n\n\n\n\n\nCapsize Drill\n\n\n\n\n\nUpwind and Downwind Sailing\n\n\n\n\n\nTacking and Gybing\n\n\n\n\n\nWind and tide considerations\n\n\n\n\nThe aim of this introductory course is for all participants to be able to steer (and crew) a sailing dinghy on all points of sailing in light to moderate conditions in sheltered waters\, then be eligible for regular sailing at our Club. \n\n\n\nThe Sailing Instructors and Boat captains are all experienced club members who volunteer their time. \n\n\n\nParticipants should be fit and be able to swim 25 metres. \n\n\n\nParticipants should bring a packed lunch each day\, aqua shoes\, water bottle and hat with drawstring. Club boats available: Seven 14’ Pacers\, Six X3s\, Two 16’ Corsairs and Safety craft. Life Jackets provided.
