The container is for boat and equipment storage. \nJuniors are not permitted to enter the container unless putting boats and equipment away. \nThere are public toilets and an outdoor shower close by. \nRefreshments   – the club has soft drinks \, limited snacks and a BBQ is available if you would like to organise an after sail sausage sizzle etc. \nThe Sheoak Shack cafe is opposite the boat ramp car park and there is another shop/cafe a short distance further down Fingal Rd. \n  \nAll TVSC members and parents that run the juniors sailing sessions do so voluntarily and unpaid – this is why the sailing fee is only $5 as a contribution towards running costs. We all enjoy doing it and welcome more people to join the team.   \nThe cost of Australian Sailing Instructors $25 -30 an hour is currenlty subsidised by club funds. \n Calendar & Parent’s consent form can be found on our website. \n  \n  \nIMPORTANT REMINDERS to Junior Sailors \n  \n\nJuniors sailing on Sabots or X3s must not leave the beach before the safety boat is at the harbour entrance.\n\n  \n\nCapsizing may be fun but can and has caused damage to the boats you use. Many of our boats are loaned to us by club members\, \n\n  \n\nPlease respect the boats and equipment we are lucky enough to have available. Carry boats – never drag them.\n\n\nTRAPEZE  –  RISK OF DROWNING if unable to unhook the harness after capsize.  All juniors must be trained on water with close adult supervision to use a trapeze harness before being approved to use one solo or with another Junior.  [ eg. on Flying Ants]\n\n

FIRST TIMERS WELCOME \nBRING – change of clothes\, footwear you can get wet (not thongs)\, hat (tied on)\, water bottle\, snack\, long sleeved top\, wind proof jacket  (in winter an old 100% wool jumper is the best sailing gear) \nPROVIDED by TVSC – Life jackets\, some Booties for borrowing (mainly kids sizes)\, sailing boats\, safety boats and qualified safety boat drivers\, qualified instructors \nCOST – $5 per person sailing + $2 for sausage sizzle (if there is one)\n Please bring correct change \nMembership – required after 3 sails. Sign up on line or download paper form \nMembership \n\nJunior’s from NSW can use their NSW Active Kids Sports voucher \nPARENTS\nParents are needed to be the organisers both before and during the sessions – taking bookings\, setting dates\, organising safety boat drivers and instructors\, supervising sign on/welcomer\, crewing on safety boats\, setting up sign on tent\, pack up\, catering – sausage sizzle\, cold fruit …  \nJuniors rig and un-rig the small boats – with assistance if required. \nADULT TRY SAILING & TRAINING: Try Sailing is run at the same time as Juniors depending on availability of boats and skippers so dont just sit on the bank and watch – reply to this email to request  a sail.
