DESCRIPTION:The four-day course across two weekends will include: \n\n\n\n\nSafety\n\n\n\nWind and tide considerations\n\n\n\nBoat and Sail handling\n\n\n\nCapsize Drill\n\n\n\nUpwind and Downwind Sailing\n\n\n\nTacking and Gybing\n\n\n\n\n(The second weekend is on 22/23rd of June\, no separate registration is required) \n\n\n\nThis introductory course aims for all participants to be able to steer (and crew) a sailing dinghy on all points of sailing in light to moderate conditions in sheltered waters. \n\n\n\nParticipants should be reasonably fit and be able to swim at least 25 metres. \n\n\n\nClub boats used: Six 14’ Pacers\, two 16’ Corsairs and two Safety craft. Life Jackets provided. Other Club facilities are limited.   \n\n\n\nCost: $290 for adults\, Children 7-17 yrs $155 (junior fee includes Junior Membership Package) \n\n\n\nMaximum numbers: 14 \n\n\n\nRegister below. \n\n\n\nSome further information is available here. \n\n\n\nContact John Hayward 0431025497 if you have any questions.
