SUMMARY:School Holiday Juniors Sailing Course
DESCRIPTION:8\,9\,10th July 2024 – 8.30am to 3.00pm \n\n\n\nFor Children 7-17yrs \n\n\n\nThe four day course will include: \n\n\n\n\nSafety\n\n\n\nWind and tide considerations\n\n\n\nBoat and Sail handling\n\n\n\nCapsize Drill\n\n\n\nUpwind and Downwind Sailing\n\n\n\nTacking and Gybing\n\n\n\n\nThe aim of this introductory course is for all participants to be able to steer (and crew) a sailing dinghy on all points of sailing in light to moderate conditions in sheltered waters. \n\n\n\nParticipants should be reasonably fit and be able to swim at least 25 metres. \n\n\n\nClub boats available: Six X3s\, Six 14’ Pacers\, two 16’ Corsairs and two Safety craft. Life Jackets provided. Other Club facilities are limited.   \n\n\n\nCost: $155 ( NSW Active Kids voucher may be used) – The cost includes TVSC Junior Package Membership for all Junior Sailing sessions until Sept 2025. \n\n\n\nMaximum numbers: 14 \n\n\n\nMore information is available on our juniors page or contact John Hayward on 041025497
