Learn to Sail a Dinghy – Week 1 of 2

The four-day course across two weekends will include:
- Safety
- Wind and tide considerations
- Boat and Sail handling
- Capsize Drill
- Upwind and Downwind Sailing
- Tacking and Gybing
(The second weekend is on 22/23rd of June, no separate registration is required)
This introductory course aims for all participants to be able to steer (and crew) a sailing dinghy on all points of sailing in light to moderate conditions in sheltered waters.
Participants should be reasonably fit and be able to swim at least 25 metres.
Club boats used: Six 14’ Pacers, two 16’ Corsairs and two Safety craft. Life Jackets provided. Other Club facilities are limited.
Cost: $290 for adults, Children 7-17 yrs $155 (junior fee includes Junior Membership Package)
