The last Calling All Skippers Regatta at Budgewoi Sailing Club

NOTICE OF RACE

1.0 Rules: The Regatta will be governed by the current rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing and the

Special Regulations of Yachting Australia Part 2 for off the beach dinghies except as any of these are altered by

this Notice of Race or by the Sailing Instructions.

2.0 Eligibility and Entry

2.1 The regatta is open to all monohull and catamaran dinghy classes.

Entries will be divided into division as follows:-

 Monohulls

 Catamarans 14 foot and under

 Catamarans 16 foot and over

 Budgewoi Sailing Club reserves the right to alter the divisions dependent on entries.

2.2 Entries are to be lodged on the Official Entry Form (see attached).

3.0 Fees Entry fee   FREE

4.0 Schedule of Events

4.1 Registration Time – from 0900 hours Saturday 

BRIEFING: 11.30

4.2 Racing Saturday not before 12.30

                    Sunday: not before 10.00 no signals after 1.00pm

4.3 Presentation Sunday afternoon

5.0 Sailing Instructions:

The Sailing Instructions will be available when registering on 1 feb

6.0 Courses: Courses will be described in the Sailing Instructions

7.0 Scoring: Four races are scheduled and all will count for each yacht’s total points. The series will be scored as provided in Appendix A using the Low Point System. The finishing place of a boat sailing in mixed divisions will be determined by applying the VYC yardstick to that boat’s elapsed time.

8.0 Prizes: Prizes will be awarded by Budgewoi Sailing Club for the first three overall placed boats on yardstick in each division. Other prizes may be awarded as the discretion of the Race Committee.

9.0 Disclaimer of Liability: Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, Decision to Race. Budgewoi Sailing Club Inc. will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

10.0 Insurance: Each participating boat shall be covered by a current third party insurance policy.
