LATER HOLDIAY START TIME 9.30am (8.30am QLD time) at TVSC container by Fingal Head Boat Ramp. Pack up 12.30pm

Booking for all Juniors sessions is essential, reply to this email to book. FIRST TIMERS WELCOME

BRING – change of clothes, footwear you can get wet (not thongs), hat (tied on), water bottle, snack, long sleeved top, wind proof jacket (in winter an old 100% wool jumper is the best sailing gear)

PROVIDED by TVSC – Life jackets, some Booties for borrowing (mainly kids sizes), sailing boats, safety boats and qualified safety boat drivers, qualified instructors

COST – $5 per person sailing + $2 for sausage sizzle (if there is one)
Please bring correct change

Membership – required after 3 sails. Sign up on line or download paper form

Junior’s from NSW can use their NSW Active Kids Sports voucher

PARENTS
Parents are needed to be the organisers both before and during the sessions – taking bookings, setting dates, organising safety boat drivers and instructors, supervising sign on/welcomer, crewing on safety boats, setting up sign on tent, pack up, catering – sausage sizzle, cold fruit …

Juniors rig and un-rig the small boats – with assistance if required.

ADULT TRY SAILING & TRAINING: Try Sailing is run at the same time as Juniors depending on availability of boats and skippers so dont just sit on the bank and watch – reply to this email to request a sail. Also if you are a competant skipper and would like to use a Club Corsair please organise this in advance.

FACILITIES
We do not have a “club house” the container is for boat and equipment storage.
Juniors are not permitted to enter the container unless putting boats and equipment away.
There are public toilets close by – juniors must notify an adult if going to the toilet – Under 10’s to go in pairs.
Refreshments – the club has cold drinks, limited snacks and sometimes bbq hot dogs for sale. The Sheoak Shack cafe is opposite the boat ramp car park and the Fingal General Store & cafe is round the corner.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS to Junior Sailors

Juniors sailing on Sabots or X3s must not leave the beach before the safety boat is at the harbour entrance.
