The Committee has been closely monitoring the weather forecast over the past 72 hours and has made the difficult decision to postpone tomorrow’s race.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Marine Wind gale Warning for our area. The Bureau’s latest update at 4:00 pm today retained this warning for tomorrow, leaving little indication that conditions will improve sufficiently for safe racing.
As a result, the Committee has decided to postpone the race scheduled for Sunday 19 July until Sunday 26 July.
The safety and wellbeing of our members, volunteers and support crews is always the Committee’s highest priority. While we appreciate this will be disappointing for many, we believe postponing the event is the safest and most responsible decision.
Please also note that Junior Sailing scheduled for Sunday 19 July has been abandoned due to the forecast conditions.
